![]() Engine RPM Control |
Download RPM.ocx Visual Studio Control
This control accepts NMEA sentences via the RPM Method. This NMEA sentence includes the engine number, revolutions per minute, propeller pitch, and a flag that denotes if the data is valid or not. This control makes no demarcation between engine revolutions and propeller shaft revolutions, therefore it may be used "universally" in vessles with either configuration. The control is fully resizable. |
A negative propeller pitch denotes an engine in reverse, i.e., that propeller is going astern. One may set different colors for an engine going forward and for an engine going reverse. |
One may also "turn off" the "Valid Data" display ("OK" when valid, "*" when not valid), turn off the engine number, change background color, and change the colors of the lettering for RPM, Valid Data Display, and Engine Number. |
The Twilight and Night Properties conform with the same color scheme as the rest of The NMEA Sage Controls. One may also change the background color of the engine number. |
The control's Properties match the NMEA RPM sentence and the RPM Method. One therefore may use either the RPM Method or several Properties with this control. |
