The link called "Why Holysmoke.org" addresses why this site exists. Please consider reading it before sending complaints about the site's contents to the site's maintainer (Shy David): he has posted many pages of people's opinions that he does not himself share. It is therefore unreasonable to ask him to defend or explain those pages.

Sometimes we receive letters that are very eloquent, and too good not to share. They are also often very odd indeed. At the link "We Get Letters Sane And Otherwise" may be found some of these letters.

One long-term fraud (called "Spiritism" or "Spiritualism") has been going on for over one hundred years. On the page "The Cold Hard Truth, Put Bluntly," Shy David quotes from one of the most successful of Spiritist deceivers.

HOLYSMOKE is a FidoNet "echo." An "echo" is a message base where people may exchange ideas amd opinions electronically. The "All Things Holysmoke" link contains some of the material published in the echo.

Back in 1985 The Astro-Net BBS went on-line. The cheif reason was to support Wicca and neo-Paganism, and the critical study of astrology. It also contained some of the finest skeptical and humanitarian essays ever written.

Miracle Workers & Faith Healers was to be a very large site, but the time to finish it has not yet been applied. There is only one entry.

The Creationists. These folks work very hard (out of evil, greed, and stupidity) to keep citizens ignorant and superstitious: to the detriment of society.

The ICR Cult Back To Genesis is an occult revival that the ICR cult holds in many cities in the United States. They are partially to blame for why Americans are considerably more ignorant than most of the developed nations.

The link to Shy David's House of Knowledge is actually a mirror of another site. It contains many web pages of skeptical content, plus a backup of some holysmoke material.

Another informative link is Shy David's Defense of Wicca which addresses the problem of religious discrimination against one minority religion. Shy David has moral and ethical objections to religious discrimination: if a religion or church is not harming anyone, IT MUST BE TOLERATED. It is immoral and unethical (and often illegal) to discriminate against someone for their religious beliefs.
