"Chris"'s e-mail reflects the "Don't Think For Yourself" party line
of Scientology - apparently, since Scientology "owned" Lisa, they had
the right to kill her. The implication is disgusting. It's a crude
attempt at invalidation.
I didn't know the Kosovars, but I oppose the Serb's notion of "ethnic cleansing".
I didn't know the Kuwaitis, but I oppose Saddam's notion of annexing
a neighboring country because he could.
I didn't know the Ethiopians, but I oppose the notion of waging war
I didn't know the blacks in South Africa, but I oppose the notion
that someone is inferior because of their skin color.
I didn't know the Jews in Nazi Germany (before my time), but I opposed
Hitler's notions of "racial purity".
So, I didn't know Lisa, but I oppose the notion of people being
restrained against their will under the cloak of "religious practice".
Was this your scientology-kills.org site, Valerie?
In article <[email protected]>, Valerie says...
> I was at the rally that occured in 98 at the Fort Harrison. I was
>watching the people with the sign that said " scientology kills" and
>wondered if the carriers even knew the woman Lisa Mcpherson. No one
>except the church members could honestly say they had. I felt very
>sorry for the non scientologists there. They had no idea what they had
>gotten themselves into. I saw homeless people carrying these signs given
>to them by the anti-scientologists. That really made it a joke.
>I have been with the church of scientology for 20 years and have had no
>problems with the church at all.
>I know you meant well when posting this site, however, I find it to be
>against everything I believe in. Which I do take personal.
>I can't express to you how sick your site made me feel.
>You'd have to be insane to try to hurt something that has helped so
>many people take control of their lives.
>Please take down your site.
>Los Angeles, CA
>Told her I'd read constructive crits of the site, if they were on
>particulars. Just 'I hate it, it lies and I want it to disappear' won't
>But she likely won't write back.
>(Incidentally, thought writing her name like that was pretty silly since
>she left her address & whole name in the header.)
