Thank you so much for passing along that sad news.
Maggie Di Pietra once posted something Vaughn had told her:
"When I had to leave the newsgroup for awhile to attend to a disability, Robert Vaughn Young wrote to me something like, this is not a race that must be finished by a person, but a relay race instead. You can pass the baton to others. Not everyone can picket or post, but everyone can be informed."
That thought has sustained me and encouraged me like few others.
Vaughn had a way with metaphor, and that is the mark of a poet.
He will be missed, and he will be with us always.

Robert once wrote to me "Each of us does what we can do. Our obligation is to do it as well as we can, with as much grace, dignity, integriy and honor our egos can tolerate."
Robert managed that, he was an important inspiration to me and helped me more than once to focus and understand. I feel truly honored to have met him.
I will remember Robert with happiness and admiration, he was one of the good guys. Oscar Wilde wrote "Anybody can make history; only a great man can write it" and Robert Vaughn Young achieved both in my opinion.
A toast and a bow for you Robert, with a little tear and a smile. Thank you.

Sad indeed. My condolences to his family and friends.
He will be remembered by me as a person with enormous compassion and integrity. As example I would like the remind every one how even though the cult had set out to destroy him and Stacy and he knew that Rinder must be the man behind it, he always kept a door open for him. Posting open letters here to Mike Rinder as if they were old buddies from way back.
All Mike Rinder could do to reciprocate that kindness was being happy to hear Robert had cancer. No doubt they cheered in LA after hearing the news, Hubbard once again prevailed: fight us and horrible things happen to you. You get sick, you die or commit suicide.
Knowing all that, RVY still could see the good side of those who set out to ruin him. A remarkable feat.
He will be missed.

I met RVY on several occasions while dong the PI gig. He was obviously aware of who I was and what I was doing. On one particular surveillance detail he walked up to my car and asked if I wanted a cup of coffee.
When I spoke to him I found him to be extremely introspective and yet outgoing at the same time. I know that doesn't make much sense, it's difficult to explain, but it's like when you were speaking to him and he was speaking to you, he was at the same time analyzing everything that was being discussed, including you.
RVY was among a few others who really got me thinking about "CO$", resulting in my decision to sever any and all ties with them and most recently join the battle against them.
