There are a few dozen people who, as a group, rush to disaster sites
just to victimize the victims. When the twin towers at the World Trade
Center collapsed, they rushed there to find victims they could further victimize.
Those victims included the people injured during and after the disaster,
the people working to save the trapped and injured, and the city government
who was paying for that rescue effort. What would you call such people as
these? Would you call these people "Evil?" Would you call
them "Criminal?" Or maybe "Fiendish, villainous, and
despicable?"
Well, the criminal commercial enterprise that calls itself "The 'Church' of Scientology®" uses a different phrase: "A Scientology® Volunteer 'Minister.'" This group of about twenty-five individuals act like sharks at the smell of blood; only in their case, the blood is MONEY and PROPAGANDA. The rest of the world called the World Trade Center disaster a crime and tragedy: to Scientology® Inc. is was a BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY. The Human Rights Activist community calls these abominable parasites "Vulture 'Ministers.'"

![]() mirele-nospam.net (Deana M. Holmes) 5 Oct 2001 10:57:10 -0400 Thanks to people like cerridwen, we've been able to keep up with what $cientology is telling their people about the "great work" that the Volunteer Ministers are doing at Ground Zero at the World Trade Center. Thing is, what is being fed to those "on-lines" is a tissue of lies. I have chatted today with a person who just spent a *very long* day at Ground Zero. This person's work involved going around to various positions at Ground Zero. While doing this, s/he made a point of looking around for the (allegedly ubiquitous) yellow shirts of the $cientology Volunteer Ministers. S/he saw none. S/he asked people involved with legitimate work at Ground Zero about the yellow shirts: not seen. In other words: the allegedly ubiquitous Volunteer Ministers giving touch assists and nerve assists at Ground Zero are *not there*. So much for the "one-third of the people at Ground Zero are Scientologists" lie. $cientology is busy tooting its horn, but the emperor has no clothes. While there were (until they got pulled off the web or passworded) a lot of pictures of Volunteer Ministers, please note that there are only a very small handful of those pictures that are actually at Ground Zero. From another source I learned that one being sent out today to those on-lines is that of a Volunteer Minister attempting to hand an orange to a fireman. This picture has been out for a few weeks. What I suspect is that the $cientology leadership have people out on the streets attempting to foist off copies of Hubbard's attempt to rewrite the Ten Commandments, giving "touch assists" to the unwary, and generally doing anything it can to improve its bottom line. For shame, you liars! Deana M. Holmes mirele-----net
![]() ground zero volunteer horrified by Scientology vultures Sat, 2 Mar 2002 12:44:52 +0000 (UTC) A woman I know worked as a volunteer at Ground Zero in Manhattan five days after the 9/11 disaster. Below are her personal observations about the unauthorized presence of Scientologists at the official command center, and how she managed to get them booted out. I'm withholding her name to protect her from Scientology harassment of the sort we're all too familiar with. -- Dave Touretzky
I thought you might appreciate my own personal recent (nightmare) experience with Scientologists - Through my membership with an international children's charitable organization that coordinated with the Red Cross in response to the 9/11 disaster, I found myself working with a mental health/mass care group assigned to Ground Zero five days after the attack. (The fires were still burning and gaining the proper Federal ID, etc. required to access "The Pile" and interact with the rescue workers... police and fire units and medical volunteers... was lengthy even with Red Cross sponsorship.) In spite of the mind-numbing horror of the site itself, balanced by the amazing and countering displays of humanity among those on site, one of the largest jolts of emotion that I had was when I entered the official command center (federal and local agencies) housed in a school at the foot of the rubble. The lobby area was overrun by Scientology reps (a dozen or more?) offering their brand of 'bearing witness' in exchange for minor first aid (foot powder, bandaides, massages, cots). The displays of their pamphlets and books spread strategically throughout the area was marketing at its most agressive. They all donned brightly colored t-shirts and, striking me as eerily inappropriate at the time, seemed to be festive in their demeanor. A mental health volunteer and I immediately sought out the 'central command' of the relief effort and made a formal complaint. Long story short, no one had apparently authorized their presence and in fact, Guilliani, wisely, had publicly and formally strictly forbidden religious groups from any visible presence.....after all, wasn't it this kind of fanaticism that inspired the insanity of the attacks? No one knew how they had gotten access and they were routed out later that day. I had been moved to soul-depleting nausea when I glanced at some of the posters and flyers depicting space ships and aliens (with comic book style graphics) and considered that their ability to promote this view of 'reality' at a time when all of us where questioning our reality as being no different from Bin Laden's inspirations and applications. I still consider their presense as 'intellectual and spiritual terrorism' that was taking opportunistic advantage of people (police and firemen and I assume family members at the Pier site) who were still in the shock of having, for example, watched "15 of my friends who were rushing the building in formation to help get people out and seeing the building crush them ALL" (direct quote from one of the NYPD officers I spoke with.) This is not to say that there weren't other religions represented by individuals (met one priest who was sensitive enough to remove his collar before dispensing psychological / spiritual comfort along with eyewash and footpads), but they operated as individual volunteers simply availing themselves to anyone who wanted to speak with them. No religious tracts, bibles or other paraphanelia visible anywhere. The Scientologist's were the only ones sucking the much needed air out of the site by promoting their agenda. They were Scientologists FIRST and human beings SECOND. Oh yeah, that's consistent isn't it? (name withheld)

"Additionally we are trying to move in and knock the psychs [psychiatrists and psychologists] out of counseling to the grieving families and that could take another 100 plus people right now. Due to some brilliant maneuvering by some simply genius Sea Org Members we tied up the majority of the psychs who were attempting to get to families yesterday in Q&A, bullbait and wrangling. They have a hard time completing cycles of action and are pretty easy to disperse. But today they are out in full force and circling like vultures over these people and all of our resources are tied up in the support efforts in the disaster zone at present." "Lt." The Jerusalem Post By Rosalyn Harari MEMBERS of the Scientologists cult in Tel Aviv managed to get into the public information center set up at Ichilov Hospital immediately after the recent terrorist attack in Allenby Street, where they spoke to families of the injured and gave out propaganda material on their cult, reports Tel Aviv Hebrew weekly. Shortly after the attack, around 10 Scientologists mingled with a group of social workers who were at the hospital to receive families of the injured. Wearing shirts bearing the tag "spiritual adviser Scientologist volunteer," they talked to the anxious relatives who had arrived at the center, where entry was permitted only to the hospital medical staff and relatives of the injured. The cult representatives distributed a booklet written by the founder of the cult Ron Hubbard which promises its readers to help them reach "the path which leads to a much safer and happier life for you and for others." One of the most persistent volunteers even managed to find her way into the emergency ward, where she was noticed by the hospital manager Gabi Barbash and asked to leave. The Scientologists movement was started in the United States in the 1950s and claims to illuminate "great truths" to its disciples. The scientific and religious claims of the movement as well as its financial administration became a source of controversy in the eighties when it found itself faced with many law suits. Nevertheless, the cult has around 10 million [sic: there are 117,000 Scientologists in the world, 50,000 in the USA] followers throughout the world, including celebrities such as John Travolta and Tom Cruise who according to cult rules must contribute a percentage of their earnings. In 1993 the Knesset considered making it illegal but in the end it was not banned. Amir Levi, who is responsible for public relations at the Center for Scientology in Tel Aviv explains that "this is the first time that such activity has been held after a bomb attack." Ichilov Hospital said in reaction: "The hospital does not allow entry to activists of any cult. The members of the cult gained entry to the information center without permission. They were thrown out of the emergency ward as soon as it was discovered that they were carrying out missionary activity."

"Due to the incredible acknowledgement our VMs are getting in NY, I think we have produced some major wins for ourselves out of this crisis. With the President and our Congress and military focused on taking out the planetary SPs [Supressive Persons], WE can move in with the tech and really make some headway! Just think of all the new people already on the Bridge!! That is going to multiply geometrically into HUGE proportions. I don't know about the rest of you, but I, for one, am JAZZED!!! Scientology and Scientologists ROCK!!!!!"

"And what happened with the psychs [psychologists and psychiatrists] who had been 'In-Charge?' Since we jumped in so quickly, confronted what was needed and then started providing it, even the psychiatrics viewed us as the leaders. So, they started asking us what they should do. We found some good MEST work [menial labor such as digging holes with a shovel; lackey] for them to do, which they did, and they came up tone as they were now contributing." ![]() Subject: An revolting example of a typical Scientologist's mindset Date: Tue, 05 Nov 2002 19:03:57 GMT This memo, given during the 911 disasters, clearly illustrates the poisonous arrogant mentality of a typical Scientologist. This proves that, after all training and processing, after spending thousands for such services, and individual is rendered into a state of mind which is probably lower than the average person's. This position this person takes is quite typical of many members of the Church of Scientology. But first, because the memo is laced with Scientology-speak, if you are not familiar with Scientology jargon, a few definitions: "dissem" = disseminate "Psychs" = psychiatrists "Touch Assists" = a Scientologist places his or her finger on a point, anywhere on a victim's body, and asked them to 'feel my finger', and after they acknowlege, the Scientologists says 'thank you', and repeats this process over and over until the person feels better. (That is the idea, and if one believes this works, it is the kind thing which a placebo mentality can easily take root, for it is a very vague thing, whether it works, or not. It never worked on my headaches, and I had many done on me when I was a Scientologist. I suppose they don't hurt, and may be beneficial. They are not cures for pain, that is certain. I do admit I cannot find fault with the logic that states it is better do direct the mind's attention to the areas of pain, which is the goal of a touch assist. However, serious studies should be done on this, and Scientology, as usual, will not allow double blind studies done out side of its ranks. Moroever, where Scientology dogma takes over, and I find this reprehensible, is that Scientology may direct a person away from needed doctors and medicine, particulary if such medicine is psychotropic, since their "tech" is superior to that offered by psychiatry and psychology). "Misemotion" = unpleasant emotions. "Q&A" = Stands for questioning and answering, but not in the sincere sense, it is a tactic used here to confuse, delay, or otherwise block someone from doing something. It is also used to connote when someone is not getting something accomplished, such as so and so is "Q&A ing" with the task, i.e., not getting it done. Here it is being done intentionly to prevent someone from accomplishing something, i.e., not letting the "psychs" help people. "MEST": = an acronym for matter, energy, space, and time, which is Scientologese for anything material. "Cycles of action" = a doctrine defining any task, a dogmatic way of thinking about it. "Restimulation" = Scientology teaches that all of our hang-ups come from "engrams", moments of trauma in our past, when, 'restimulated', by the similarity of the incident at hand to such engram or engrams, causing the individual to become irrational. "Confront" = same meaning as the conventional, but Scientology has dogmatized the concept, i.e., so and so has a 'low confront', meaning that such a person cannot face something. "Uptone" == Scientology has a "tone scale", the bottom is apathy, and the top is enthusiasm, so "uptone" would mean near or at the top of this scale. "Bullbait" = a scientology training drill used to try to divert a parishioner's attention from his task. The idea is that through such a drill, the parishioner will get better at not allowing his attention to be diverted by the "misemotion" or uncontrollable behaviour of a 'preclear' (one who hasn't reached a high point of spiritual awareness on the Scientology charts). Here it is being used intentionally to prevent someone from accomplishing a task. See "Q&A".
![]() FROM: "Karen Scott" <[email protected]> TO: <Undisclosed-Recipient:;> DATE: Fri, 14 Sep 2001 <time stamp deleted> RE: READ THIS - Sea Org & Volunteer Ministers in NY Pls dissem widely to Scientologists.
To: Scientologists <--
From: CO I HELP Canada Dear All, For the last two days I have been in New York Org running, with several other Sea Org members, the deployment of Volunteer Ministers into the disaster zone. We have experienced considerable success making ourselves stable terminals in the disaster zone giving assists and supplying food to the police and fire fighters. We are "the guys in the yellow shirts" and that alone now gets us past the road blocks into southern Manhattan. The Dianetics 1-800 number was placed on the TV as a number to call if you wanted to help. With our higher confront and work ethic we have established ourselves to such a degree that we now have the Red Cross referring social workers and psychologists to us at the org for training transport into the disaster zone. We hat them on assists put a shirt on them and send them in. Our people have been in the area since Tuesday afternoon. With Scientologists and non-Scientologists combined we have sent out close to 150 Volunteer Ministers so far. At the highest peak so far we have had close to 40 people working the zone at one time. Tonight, just a short time ago, I took a tour of the disaster zone. I had up to this point not personally gone in. I'm going to attempt to convey in a few short sentences using our terms what the scene is: It is highly unlikely you have ever scene anything to compare to the sheer MEST damage here. Unless you have been in a bombed out city before. Nothing you have ever seen in any movie comes close to this, nothing. For miles the streets are gray ash and paper mush and the trees are hung with rags of paper from the Trade Towers. Everything as far as you can see is covered with white dust. The number of crushed ambulances and foreignness piled on top each other or lying torn apart in the streets from the second blast and collapse is undesirable I have seen the mountains of bent steel and cement rubble which is all that is left of these buildings. Text cannot convey this reality to you. If you watch the TV footage of ground zero, this is what it looks like. And there are thousands and thousands of people down there working. Police and fire and national guard and other workers. The sheer magnitude of the operation is difficult to grasp. You will see the chaos merchants on television gleefully embellishing the misemotion. The truth is the people are working and working and working until they have to rest. They are not misemotional for the most part. They are fittingly sad and angry and tired and stunned but they are carrying on. What we are aiming to handle is provide adequate support for these people. You will hear the media running a line that "We don't need any more volunteers." What they are neglecting is the old datum that behind any army are 5 people to every soldier acting as support staff to keep him fed and supplied and in shape. This is where we come in and I can tell you now: this area could absorb the efforts of a thousand Scientologists for weeks right now. Additionally we are trying to move in and knock the psychs out of counseling to the grieving families and that could take another 100 plus people right now. Due to some brilliant maneuvering by some simply genius Sea Org Members we tied up the majority of the psychs who were attempting to get to families yesterday in Q&A, bullbait and wrangling. They have a hard time completing cycles of action and are pretty easy to disperse. But today they are out in full force and circling like vultures over these people and all of our resources are tied up in the support efforts in the disaster zone at present. There is nowhere on Earth right now that hurts like this place. These are brave people and they are the able and they don't know it but they need the Scientologists with LRH's tech to be here right now. The fire-fighter company down the street from the org lost 14 members on Tuesday. No one can do anything for them or the rest but Scientologists. The other religions here with their ministers have shown their true colors and are working hand in hand with the psychs to give these people as much false data and restimulation as they can. They HAVE NO TECH and they're not even trying to hide it anymore. They've crossed over and abandoned anything spiritual and to hell with them. The Red Cross has told us when we went to help at their shelters and found no one there, "the people say they are doing fine so we send them back out". Thats because the Red Cross' confront is sooo low they can't even see when people are suffering right in front of them. They are blind. I have stood in Times Square at 7:00pm with people all around and I swear I could have communicated in whispers and been heard at 20 feet, such a hush lies over this place. It hurts. Big time. Nobody is in PT. They are stuck in the incident. So I'm sending this out to you. It is a direct request for your presence here now. We are uptone. We are making it go right. We need help now. And what this place needs now more than anything else in the whole wide world is more Scientologists here right now. Thank you. Lt. Simon Hare CO I HELP Canada (in NY) |

> Lt. Simon Hare CO I HELP Canada (in NY) I believe, based on my observations, that the arrogance displayed by scientologists is built on top of the phobias. I think it was intentionally part of Hubbards programming agenda. This way one doesn't see how truly phobic a scientologist really is of medicine, doctors and especially mental health counselors. When one is fearful of the things that compete with what Hubbard has to sell, Hubbard has more leverage in selling it to you, that is my opinion based on what CofS has taught me through the many years. Not only is it easier to sell the Bridge when everything else is evil, it is easier to control people from speaking about their thoughts because the individual has been programmed to know that this will lead to lower conditions or disconnection. The letter above displays the fear and the arrogance. Something, I and several other people close to me have observed and watched for years. The amazing thing is the transition. The scientology process can take the sweetest, kindest person and turn them into the above part of the time, but not all of the time. I am reminded of the programming that occurs in the movie "Monsters Inc". If you watch the movie, I think you will see how phobias are used to distort and twist the truth. You will also see how the Monsters are programmed or convinced to change personalities for a purpose, one that they believe is helping the world. Great movie. Thanks Pixar.

> I am reminded of the programming that occurs in the movie "Monsters Inc". I think, based on *my* observations :) that you have hit at least one nail squarely on the head. It's not just phobias that drive Scientology, but absolutely, stark, raving terror. From the essential first 'Find Their Ruin' to the final 'lose your Bridge!' Scientology requires terror of atomic war, alien invasion, mind control, hidden crimes (your own and others), toxic pollution and a panoplea of horrors unimagined by the Wog on the Street, to justify its own demands for 'Total Control'. Can't find the Raw Meat's 'Ruin'? He's not a candidate. If he's not terrified, he'd be at best theety weety. A preclear isn't intimidated by 'Ethics'? He's a spy! A yearlong productive member laughs at a 'senior'? He's a joker and degrader! Terror, not little phobias is the basis of Scientology. Terror is its justification for itself, and for the terror it applies or tries to apply as its sole weapon. Scientology doesn't *convince* wog culture to accept it. Per dogma it must terrify it into 100% Compliance. Because even 2% rejection is *terrifying* to Scientology - per dogma. Zinj |
